Thinking of you, @Marisco  , because they’ve been talking about potholes a lot on Breakfast this morning!

Apparently, there’s a new machine that can repair a pothole in 8 minutes! ;D
Just as well I didn't see it....I'd have worked myself into a rage. Trouble is with most repairs around here, it consists of a blob of tarmac, then flattened and that's it! I can feel my blood pressure rise as I type!

Before you speak, ask yourself: Is it kind, is it necessary, is it true, does it improve upon the silence?

Happy Valley [/b]is very good helped by the acting of not only Sarah Lancaster but the support too.

I also enjoy the settings and scenery, location in and around West Yorkshire, think stereotypical Northern mill towns and the beautiful surrounding countryside. Gritty yet comforting.

Coincidentally, the programme dialogue makes reference to places like Sowerby Bridge, a place referred to when discussing the canal boat television episodes. So I believe Happy Valley to be mainly set around the Calder Valley.

Just caught up. It certainly did not disappoint, also some wonderful Calder Valley scenery.

Saw a BBC article in which the accused actor stated they've shot three different endings.
"We simply reminded The Speaker who will be in government in 12 months."

"28 billion? 28 billion? Who on earth promised that?"

99.9% of women "of course haven't got a penis"

"Working class is, you know, families that work for a living."  ;D ;D  ::)  ::)

I heard that on the radio yesterday, but they were saying 4 and Sara Cox was saying like why? Four different endings to write and film would be a nightmare

Maybe they're just saying that in case the ending gets leaked?

This Farming Life on BBC2 tracking the lives of predominantly sheep farming in the Island and Highlands of Scotland.

Find it interesting looking at their lives, the hard work they encounter and the associated costs for reward equation. I am aware that many persons have previously commented that you'll often see well-off farmers yet these appear to have high costs and often celebrate scant reward.

I've lived amongst sheep and cattle farming for the past 18 years and whilst share pleasantries never really understood their lives. Only knew what a Tup was when I moved here, I used to hand feed carrots to Charlie and fuss him. On occasions, he'd allow his ladies to share.

An early boyfriend decided he wanted to be a farmer, (having grown up in London and been born into a family with jobs in the City,  ::) ), and went to work on a farm in Wales. I learnt two new words: tup and bothy. ;D

I can remember on a camping holiday around Scotland doing a reasonable detour to a National Trust (I think) bothy. Not knowing what a bothy was, so getting there and thinking “is that it??”
At least I made the effort to get out of the car, unlike some other tourists who slowed down, looked baffled, and then shot off again at speed.

Gone back to previously unwatched series 1 now and it's excellent, caused a late night. First serious binge watching I've done since The Man in the High Castle.

Michael McIntyre's Big Show. I need something to cheer me up. Last weeks Midnight Game Show with Peter Crouch was brilliant.

The new season (16 I think) of Criminal Minds on Disney+. It's a bit rubbish with half the original cast members missing, a shadow of it's former self. What they lack in characters they try to make up for with extra gore and annoying bad language  >:(

I've noticed this a lot with the American series, they are chucking in the F word in programmes that never used to have swearing, it's getting tiresome and adds nothing relevant to the plotlines.

Just another little heads-up that Emily Atack's programme on sexual harassment (including internet harassment) is on tonight at 9pm, BBC2.
